Knowing God

KNOWING THE ONE TRUE GOD. Being a prophet of God, Elijah believed in the Lord our God and rejected the Baal worship. He never mixed up. They are two opposing opinions and they cannot mean the same. “If a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation” (Mark 3:23-29). The Lord is God and Baal is a pagan god. If I worship God of the Old Testament, He’s the same God in the New Testament. If the Lord is God, let’s follow Him (1 Kings 18:21).

If the transliteration or translation of the Bible is erroneous, then we’re all lost because we have nothing to base our belief. Should we rely on man's opinions, internet articles or archeology in order to hold on to our faith in God? God forbids! God preserves His Words. Thus, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Now, “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.” (James 3:13).
